Yoann Richomme crossed the finish line of the first edition of Retour à La Base in first place this Saturday, December 9, at 17:03. The Paprec Arkéa skipper completed the 3,500-mile theoretical course in 9 days 0 hours 03 minutes 48 seconds, at an average speed of 16.19 knots (on the great circle route). Under his northern option, he actually covered 4,256.68 miles at an average speed of 19.70 knots. Yoann Richomme has achieved a rare feat: winning his first solo race aboard an IMOCA boat.
